Worry Dragons

A program to help relieve your worries

"I  LIKED.... That it let us talk about our feelings." - Past Participant

Do you have a school age child who worries too much?

Worry Dragons is a group for children (ages 7 to 12) where they can learn to express their fears, worries, and anxieties, while helping to incorporate parents into their growth so they can have an active role in maintaining their children’s growth and learning.  By attending this program, your child will improve on:

  1. Understanding and identifying fears, worries, and anxieties
  2. Understanding and exploring how fear affects the body, thoughts, and behaviour
  3. Building self-confidence
  4. Learning and using the new coping skills.

To achieve this, a focus will be placed on the following 5 group components:

  1. Awareness – How do fears, worries, and anxieties impact the body
  2. Kinds of worries
  3. Courage and mind traps
  4. Self-talk and relaxation
  5. Accepting Praise and remembering success
